Charlotte Softly

I have worked in clinical practice and in office based settings as a Shiatsu Practitioner since completing my training with the Shiatsu College, Brighton in 1996. I have worked both here in the UK and in Ireland where I lived for 12 years. More recently I have trained in Advanced Clinical Massage techniques with the Jing Institute in Brighton. I am passionate about always learning and gaining new skills in order to increase my knowledge of the human body and how I can help my clients more effectively. I have just completed Jing Institute’s BTEC level 6 in Advanced Clinical and Sports Massage, which is the highest level of massage training currently available in the UK.

My shiatsu training and practice has taught me to look at the body in a holistic way and how to work with the body’s energies from the perspective of the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine. My training with Jing institute has taught me a comprehensive range of advanced massage techniques and highly effective protocols for treating pain anywhere in the body. I love putting together everything that I have learned to create original and highly effective massage sessions for my clients.

I am a keen runner and am particularly interested in the role that massage can play in keeping runners healthy and preventing and treating injury. I have suffered from many running injuries in the past and massage has always been key for me in my recovery.

I am a full member of the STO (Sports Therapy Organisation).
